VISMA foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization which aims at promoting education especially, girl-child education through Sports has today donated some items to Ghana’s National Female team, Black Queens at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence, Prampram.
This kind gesture from the foundation happened in the wake that, the Queens are gearing up for the upcoming Total Women African Cup of Nations.
Items donated included Boxes of water from Paradise Pac, toilet rolls and sanitary towels from Chrisbil Company Limited, Boxes of chocolate, and hair products from Maxim Ghana Limited among others.
Public Relations Officer of the foundation, Nana Ama-Adez Essel made the intentions of the foundation clear to the entire team.
‘’We are from VISMA Foundation and we believe in empowering the youth through Education and Sports. We know the Black Queens have a tournament ahead and we deem it fit to support you with these items just to tell you that Ghanaians and VISMA Foundation are fully behind you.
Founder of the foundation, Mavis Amanor, encouraged the team to stay focus and put in extra work as the AFCON tournament approaches.
‘’I want you to know that we are fully behind you, just work hard. People see women football in different taste in this country but I urge you to make us proud so that other cooperate entities will also support you in the near future’’.
Receiving the items on behave of the team, head coach, Bashir Hayford show gratitude and prayed more of these support will be extended to the team ahead of the tournament.
‘’It takes big people to give thanks because in appreciation to big things, big people have to give thanks. The team is impressed and I want to say thank you but thank you is even small and for that matter we will add another word saying we thank you higgledy piggledy’’.
The Black Queens are preparing fervently for the 2018 total Women’s African Cup of Nations to be hosted in Ghana in November.
