Black Queens Coach Bashiru Hayford has allowed sleeping dogs lie after apologizing for his recent banter with journalists.
A typical trademark of the renowned Ghanaian tactician, Hayford took a swipe at a journalist going on to usher grammatically lecture to the journalist who asked a question after Ghana’s defeat to Mali last Tuesday.
Bashiru Hayford has continuously questioned the integrity of Ghanaian journalists during interviews and last Tuesday’s post-match press conference was no exception.
The former Kotoko trainer has however apologized for his recent rants as his side prepares to take on Cameroon in the final group match on Friday.
“I have been in coaching for 30 years, won several trophies and this is my 4th time of handling a national team and you tell me I’m EMPTY, naturally I will react but I’m sorry for that,” he emphasized.
“We have all been annoyed before but we later see our mistakes and apologize.”
“To say I’m bankrupt means I have nothing. So he means I have no knowledge of coaching.”
A win over Cameroon might send Ghana through to the semi-finals of the competition.
