Striker Mukarama Abdulai made history by becoming Ghana’s top scorer at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup competition.
The Northern Ladies attacker broke a record set by her predecessor Jane Ayieyam back in 2012.
Mukarama’s goal against Mexico in Sunday’s quarterfinal clash saw her become the most decorated Ghanaian player at that level.
Having scored six goals at the Group stage to equal Ayieyam’s record, the energetic forward wrote her name in history books with a superb header to tally her goals in the competition to seven after matches.
The 16-year-old could go on to win the Golden Ball award despite Ghana’s failure to progress past the quarters.
