Mrs. Christine-Marie Nyantakyi, wife of Kwesi Nyantakyi believes her husband was “charmed” to enable him fall for what she describes as a plot.
Kwesi Nyantakyi has been excused from any football related activity after receiving a ban from FIFA.
Nyantakyi was forced to resign from his post as Ghana Football Association President and CAF vice President in agonizing circumstances after he was caught in a video scandal released by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The former FIFA council member had his football hopes extinguished after the World Football governing body relieved him of his position and further imposed on him a $500,000 fine.
The video documentary released by Anas Aremeyaw Anas saw the WA All Stars owner in a bizarre and peculiar conversation with an unknown Sheikh over a supposed sponsorship package for the Ghana Premier League.
Having watched excerpts of the video, Mrs. Nyantakyi claims she suspect something strange was done to her husband which made him give in easily to the sugarcoated packages from the said investors.
“I’ve not gathered the courage to watch the full video because the small that I watched, I knew that; ‘That is not my husband’, she said on Metro TV’s Good evening Ghana.
“The way he is talking, it’s not my husband. Something might have gone wrong. So, I’ve not had the courage to watch the video”.
“I don’t know what they did to him, my husband is a very skeptical person, I mean you don’t just get him to follow you or do things like that”, she insisted.
When asked whether she suspects if her husband was enchanted with incantations and “Juju”, she responded YES.
Reports claims the legal practitioner who is preparing to appeal against FIFA’s decision has already put his Club WA All Stars on sale.
