Goalkeeper Nana Ama Asantewaa is expected to be in post for Ghana’s final group match against Cameroon today.
The Police Ladies goalkeeper will replace injured Patricia Mantey who could not recover on time.
Mantey is said to have suffered a finger injury in Ghana’s defeat to Mali hence could not train with the team on Thursday.
She has been ruled out of the decisive game against the Lionesses at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Nana Ama Asantewaa, who lost her position to Mantey having kept the post for the Black Queens two years ago in Cameroon will thus be featuring his first game in this year’s competition.
Ghana must beat Cameroon convincingly to make it past the group stage after a tasting a shocking defeat to Mali last Tuesday.
