Ghana international Frank Acheampong says he is happy to have escaped relegation from the Chinese Super League with his side Tianjin Teda.
The 25-year-old raked in 17 goals in 2312 league minutes in the season.
Acheampong’s goal proved crucial as he played a crucial role for Teda who survived relegation from the Chinese top-flight.
“We were going down but thank God we survived and I must say that it was an amazing season,” he said.
“It was a very memorable season for us and me as well. I just have to thank the fans for their support,” he added.
The former King Faisal winger moved to the Chinese top-flight from Belgian giants Anderlecht.
