Inter Allies technical head Willie Klutse has confirmed that Kotoko have officially called to express interest in signing Nigerien international Victorien Adebayor.
Fans of the Porcupine Warriors are willing to contribute towards the purchase of the Allies striker who is understood to be interested in a move to the Kumasi-based club.
“Alhaji Lamin has officially called to express Kotoko’s interest in the player and I have directed him to Delali because he is in charge of transfers at the club. But, he is a good player and will form a good partnership with Songne Yacouba,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM.
Kotoko management member Edmund Ackah insisted the move to sign the Niger national team player must come from the head coach of the team.
“Akunnor is the head coach and must be the one to recommend signings so we will discuss this with him and whatever it is we would get in touch with Inter Allies,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM.
Reports claimed Hearts had taken steps to sign the striker but Ghana Sports Online authoritatively confirmed that the strike won’t join Hearts of Oak.
Hearts claim they are working quietly on the transfer market and confirmed the signing of Ghana U23 goalkeeper Richmond Ayi from WAFA last week.
