Aduana Stars have confirmed the exit of robust defender, Stephen Anokye Badu following the expiration of his contract.
The center back joined the Dormaa lads in 2015 from BA Stars following the demotion of the Sunyani-based club in the said year.
The belligerent defender has since blossomed and as results, led to his call- up into the National U20 male team in 2016.
The defending Ghana league champions wanted to reunite with the former U20 center-back but Anokye insists he has paid his dues for the Dormaa-based club and for that matter, he wants to open a new chapter in his football career.
In an interview with Cape Coast-based ATL FM, the mouthpiece of the Dormaa-based club, Evans Kwaku Oppong Maestro confirmed that the hardworking defender has bequeathed he club.
“It is true that Stephen Anokye Badu has willingly left Aduana Stars after the expiration of his contract’’.
“In fact, we wanted to renew his contract but he insisted that he wants to leave so we had no option than to allow him go and find his replacement’’. He exclusively told ATL FM.
Aduana Stars are looking forward to name their new coach within this week.
