Ghana international David Accam has described his first season with Major League Soccer side Philadelphia Union as the worse in his playing career.
The attacker was traded to Union from fellow MLS side Chicago Fire where he made a big impression in his two year stay with the Club.
Fans of Philadelphia Union however could not enjoy the best of the Ghanaian forward who managed to score just once in 23 appearances for the Club.
Accam’s season was also marred by an injury which kept him out in most of the team’s matches.
The 28-year-old admits having a poor season with Philadelphia Union.
“I don’t want to blame everything on the injury, it just didn’t happen for me, I worked hard but it just didn’t happen and also I had the injury so it made everything worse,” he spoke with Citi TV.
“Is part of the game, the challenges, you have a difficult season and I think last year was probably my worse and I just have to accept the fact that it didn’t work and move on.”
The former Helsingborg IF striker was in Ghana where he tied the knot with Ghana female international Florence Dadson.
