Ghanaian investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has been honored by the International Sports Press Association as the best investigative reporter in the world at the maiden edition of the AIPS Awards in Lausanne.
Anas was recognized by the international Association for his number 12 documentary on corruption in Ghana and African football.
The celebrated journalist revealed some of the “evil” practices by football officials and rots in football which eventually saw the suspension of several top officials and referees including former Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi.
AIPS therefore named him as the best investigative journalist for the year 2018.
The Ghanaian journalist however dedicated his award to colleague and a member of his tiger PI team Ahmed Suale who was assassinated a week ago in Madina by unknown gunmen.
