Italian Club Sassuolo are planning to sign Ghanaian-born Mario Balotelli as replacement for Kevin-Prince Boateng.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports the Serie A side are keen to have the Italian international fill in the void left by Boateng who left for FC Barcelona.
Boateng joined Barcelona until the end of the season, a deal which also gives the Spanish Club an option to purchase the player on a permanent deal.
Sassuolo wants to get a quick replacement before the winter transfer window shuts with Balotelli emerging on their wishlist.
Balotelli is having a difficult time at French Club OG Nice in the French Ligue 1.
The former Manchester City star could accept an offer to return to the Serie A where he previously played for Inter Milan and AC Milan.
