Attacker Kwame Boahene’s stay at Asante Kotoko could be coming to an end next season, according to rumours from Kumasi.
The 25-year-old signed a three-year-contract with the Porcupine Warriors after leaving Medeama two years ago.
Boahene is unhappy in Kumasi after enjoying little playing time under new coach Charles Akunnor.
The former Liberty Professionals steamroller has a year left on his contract and Kotoko is yet to open contract renewal talks with him.
Boahene will be free in six months to open contract talks with any club according to FIFA regulations, if Kotoko fail to tie him down to another deal.
Ghana Sports Online sources understand that representatives of the player are eyeing a move to rivals Hearts of Oak.
Hearts were interested in signing Boahene four seasons ago but he made a move to Medeama.
