Ghanaian striker Kwesi Appiah assisted and struck the match-winner for AFC Wimbledon as they survived at Fleetwood with a 3-2 away win.
The 28-year-old striker, who is seeking for a return to the Ghana national team for the 2019 AFCON, has now scored twice in his last two competitive games for The Dons.
Appiah assisted Anthony Hartigan for Wimbledon’s second goal of the game with a brilliant visionary pass in the 55th minute but the hosts fought back into the game by scoring twice.
A long ball picked out Appiah, who showed good awareness to hold the ball up and pick out Anthony Hartigan. The 18-year-old struck first time with a lovely effort that left Fleetwood keeper Alex Cairns with no chance.
Appiah turned onto his left foot and struck a cracking effort from outside the area that found the bottom corner.
