Barcelona might not renew the deal of Kevin-Prince Boateng as reports indicates the Catalans have agreed a pre-contract with Eintracht Frankfurt star Luka Jovic.
Boateng’s deal with the Spanish powerhouse expires at the end of the season.
The Ghanaian was signed on a short-term deal from Italian Club Sassoulo as a back-up option for Luis Suarez.
The 31-year-old ever since arriving at Camp Nou has made just one appearance for the Club, enjoying 63minutes in the team’s Copa del Rey match against Sevilla.
Luka Jovic’s purported deal keeps Boateng’s future with Barcelona in a balance as he could be heading back to his parent Club at the end of the season.
Barcelona had an option to purchase the player outright after his loan stint with the Club.
Meanwhile the former AC Milan and Schalke 04 star would be looking forward to make his second appearance for the Club when they take on Real Valladolid in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday.
