Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak highlighted their impressive form once again with a 3-2 win over second-tier side Kpando Heart of Lions in a warm up game at Pobiman on Saturday morning.
Kim Grant’s side has now won all but one defeat and a draw in his friendly games since he took charge of the 21-time Ghanaian champions and former African champions.
Defender Christopher Bonney opened the scoring for the Rainbow club but the visitors levelled before the break. The former Asante Kotoko wing-half scored from a beautiful free-kick in the 37th minute but the Lions levelled through Sam Agbenega just two minutes later.
Hearts dominated possession of the game in the opening half and stepped up the gear as Anthony Quayson scored from an acute angle to restore AHOSC one goal lead just before the hour mark.
New signing Kofi Kodzi calmed the game for the rebuilding Phobians on the 82nd minute mark after the visitors keeper spilled a Stanley Agyei goal-bound effort as he roundly bundled the ball home.
Sule Musah pulled a goal back for the Lions on the nick of full time and Hearts were able to hold the game to their favour before it petered out.
