English-born Ghanaian female football star Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah scored the consolation goal for Everton Women in 3-1 loss to Manchester City Women in the Women’s Super League on Wednesday.
Chantelle, 23, raced the Lady Toffees into a 12th minute lead but they surrendered their lead to lose 3-1.
Everton’s high press caused trouble for City’s back line, and after charging down Ellie Roebuck’s attempted clearance, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah slotted the ball into the empty net to put Everton 1-0 up just 12 minutes into the game.
She was born to a Ghanaian parent and she has represented England at U19 and U23.
