Accra Hearts of Oak cruised to a 3-2 win over Liberty Professionals in a friendly game at the Pobiman Park on Wednesday.
Promising youngster Manaf Umar scored a brace to add to a Kwadwo Obeng Junior goal with Liberty scoring twice.
Hearts coach Grant named Richmond Ayi in post while Fatawu Mohammed skippered the side with Christopher Bonney, Mohammed Alhassan, Kofi Kordzi and Manaf Umar all starting the game.
Manaf pounced on a loose ball to bury home the opener for Hearts inside the 23rd minute before doubling the advantage for the Phobians in the 27th minute.
Kwadwo Obeng Junior added the third in the 33rd minute to seal victory for Hearts in the first-half.
Elvis Kyei Baffour reduced the deficit for the Dansoman-based side on the 40th minute mark.
Richard Adonu scores Liberty’s second after being through on goal inside the 52nd minute.
None of the sides was able to find the back of the net again until the game petered out.
