Kotoko will be without their talisman Songne Yacouba when they take on ZESCO United in their final Group match next weekend.
The striker has been suspended from the match in Ndola after receiving a booking in the game against Al Hilal at the Babayara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Yacouba, who was already living on caution having been booked in his side’s defeat to Nkana in Kitwe shot himself in the foot after receiving a card late in the game against Al Hilal.
Coach CK Akonnor who has a huge task to win in Zambia will now be heading into the match without his key striker.
Ivorian forward Dany Zabo Teguy, yet to kick a ball for the Reds since joining the Club together with Naby Keita who looks to be out of sight remains the only options for Coach CK Akonnor.
Teguy could only watch from the bench when Kotoko defeated Nkana 3-0 at home, with Keita yet to feature for the Club since his last game against Kariobangi Sharks in the preliminary round.
Kotoko will travel to Zambia on Wednesday ahead of the game at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
ZESCO United have no chance of making it past the groups after a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Nkana on Sunday.
