David Accam has been nominated for the player of the week in the Major League Soccer.
The Ghanaian scored in Philadelphia Union’s 3-0 victory over Columbus Crew on Sunday.
Accam missed games for Union last season due to injury problems but looked set for a good season after a sparkling performance against Crew.
He is up for the player of the week which also has Kenny Saief of FC Cincinnati, Los Angeles FC midfielder Walker Zimmerman and Orlando City’s Sacha Kljestan.
The Ghanaian international, 28, is in his second season at Philadelphia Union after joining the Club from Chicago Fire where he spent three seasons.
