Hasaacas Ladies striker Gifty Assifuah is being inspired by her brother and former Ghana U20 star Ebenezer Assifuah.
The young player (Gifty) has been making the headlines after scoring twice in her side’s friendly match against Halifax Ladies ahead of the Special competition organized by the Normalization Committee.
Gifty is being touted by many as the next big thing for women’s football in Ghana due to her exploits with the former National Women’s League Champions.
“I have being learning and picking up tricks from my brother Ebenezer Assifuah at times. We are in constant touch every blessed day,” she is being quoted by nbsportslive.com.
“A blend of coach’s instructions and my technical acumen gave me the edge to grab a brace in this fixture, although I must say, the opponent (Hasports Ladies) were a little bit below par.
“Since we broke camp last year, I have not being training but we resumed two weeks ago. Gradually, we are warming ourselves into full match-fitness with the aid of the technical bench.”
Ebenezer Assifuah who is currently on the books of French Club Le Havre was the top scorer at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey.
