Fans of Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak met Zambian team Nkana FC at the Kotoka International Airport and asked the club to defeat their bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday, according to the Zambian Super League side.
The Kitwe-based side have arrived in Ghana ahead of their return-leg clash with Ghana’s Porcupine Warriors in their Group C clash in the CAF second-tier interclub competition.
Nkana sneaked past Kotoko 3-1 in the reverse fixture played last weekend in Zambia with ten men.
Charles Chakatayza, CEO of Nkana told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM that fans of the Rainbow club met them on arrival at the airport and told them to beat Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
“Hearts of oak supporters met us at the Kotoka International Airport and told us to beat Kotoko for them. We’ve accepted the challenge and told them we will do that for them,” He claimed on Oyerepa FM.
Kotoko are afoot the Group C chart and must beat the Kalampa club to breath life into campaign.
