Ghanaian defender Isaac Donkor scored a bizarre own-goal that sunk U Craiova 1948 CS in the Romanian top-flight league on Monday.
The 23-year-old was introduced as a replacement for Croatian Renato Kelic on the 46th minute but he turned out to be the villain of the game as he scored an own-goal which handed the win to the opposing team on the 89th minute mark.
His side took the lead moments after his introduction but Astra, the visitors levelled through Albanian Azdren Llullaku 14 minutes from time.
While all seemed to be heading for a pulsating 1-1 drawn game the former Inter Milan defender directed a low cross into his own net to end the game 2-1 to their disadvantage.
He has made 18 league appearances for his club this season and played twice in the UEFA Europa League preliminary rounds this season.
