New Edubiase United are ready to wield the axe on players who don’t agree with the club President’s position not to play in the Normalisation Committee Special Competition.
The club’s outspoken President Abdul Salam Yakubu has insisted he won’t backtrack on his initial stance regarding the competition and is set for showdown talks with players and management members.
The Movers remain the only club that is yet to officially confirm their participation in the special competition which kicks start on Sunday.
Experienced administrators including Alhaji Karim Grusah has engaged the President to reverse his decision, according to him.
But, he insists he also respects his opinion and is set for showdown talks with stakeholders of his club.
“I will explain the decision to all players and management members. I know they will buy into my position which some have already began to see reason with me. If any player feels my decision will affect his career I’m ready to release him,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM.
Edubiase have recently relocated to the Assin Fosu with many believing the main motive behind the decision was for the NC Special Competition.
Edubiase have produced players in the shape of New York City FC’s Ebenezer Ofori.
