GHANA will be without midfielder Simon Zibo for the final Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria.
The Liberty Professional captain saw red in Ghana’s return leg encounter against Gabon in Libreville.
Zibo, a key player for Coach Ibrahim Tanko received a second yellow card with 70minutes left to play having gone into the referee’s books early on in the game.
He won’t be available for the crucial tie in Ghana on June 2.
IK Start midfielder and captain of the side Isaac Twum as well as St. Gallen midfielder Majeed Ashimeru could all serve as replacement for Zibo in the next game.
Ghana progressed to the last round of qualifiers after eliminating Gabon 4-0 on aggregate.
The Black Meteors want to make their maiden appearance at the Cup of Nations tournament to be stage in Egypt later this year and possibly qualify for the Olympics Games for the first time since 2004.
