Thomas Partey’s hopes of winning the UEFA Champions League with Atletico Madrid this year has been dashed after a 3-0 defeat to Juventus in the round of 16.
A Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick saw the Old Lady overturn a 2-0 defeat in the first leg.
Atletico Madrid headed into the game with a two-goal advantage after beating the Italian Champions 2-0 in the first leg match at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The Ghanaian was however not in action for his side due to suspension.
Partey who has already won the Europa League and Super Cup with Atletico Madrid was hoping to become the sixth Ghanaian to win the UEFA Champions League after Abedi Pele, Ibrahim Tanko, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien.
