Alhassan Wakaso has extended his stay at Portuguese side Vitória Guimarães by signing a one-year deal.
The midfielder’s contract was due to expire at the Club in 2020.
Wakaso, junior brother of Black Stars midfielder Mubarak Wakaso penned a fresh deal to keep him at the Club until 2021.
The Ghanaian international returned to Portugal to join Vitória Guimarães after a difficult time at Lorient.
He had previously played for Primeira Liga side Portimonense and Rio Ave.
His inspiring form at Vitória Guimarães has forced the Club to hand him a new contract.
“Guimaraes is like a home for me, has been great playing here and I am so happy to continue. I will always give my best for the club.” Wakaso said.
The 27-year-old has made 27 appearances for Vitória Guimarães in the Portuguese top-flight this season.
