Ghanaian-born Dennis Odoi went unconscious in Fulham’s League game against Cardiff on Saturday after accidentally colliding with teammate Maxime Le Marchand.
The 30-year-old received immediate medical attention after the horrifying collision which left him motionless for some time.
Odoi, could not respond to treatment and had to be stretched off the pitch for further attention.
Referee Chris Kavanagh had to halt the game for about 10minutes to allow treatment on the defender who was eventually replaced by Cyrus Christie in the 28th minute.
Fulham Coach Scott Parker however revealed after the game the player was fine.
“Denis is okay, I have just seen him, it was a big head injury, he was out of it for a few seconds which was concerning, but he is fine and will be okay,” he said.
The former Belgium youth defender might be available for his side’s next League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
