Asamoah Gyan confirmed his readiness for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations by scoring twice in Kayserispor’s League match against Kasimpasa.
The striker came off the bench and emerged the hero for his side by netting in the 74th and 79th minutes.
Gyan got his first after heading home from a cross to level Syam Ben Yousseff’s goal for Kasimpasa.
The 33-year-old grabbed the match-winner with another superb header to send the home fans into joyous mood.
The brace marked Gyan’s fifth of the season for his side despite injury setbacks.
His goals further silence his critics who have questioned his readiness for the upcoming Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
