Coach Kwesi Appiah is expected to name a 30-man provisional squad on May 20 ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Appiah together with his assistant Ibrahim Tanko have been on a scouting mission monitoring Ghanaian players abroad and locally.
Ghanasportsonline.com understands a preliminary squad will be named before the team begin camping. The squad will however be trimmed down to 23 which will represent Ghana at the Cup of Nations this year.
Ghana meanwhile is expected to pitch camp in Dubai before embarking on their quest to end an AFCON drought where they look forward to clinch this year’s Cup of Nations trophy.
The Black Stars last won the tournament in 1982 and has since come close on winning in 2010 and 2015.
