The Hope for Athlete Foundation have officially launched its new football academy “Hope Soccer Academy” in Asamakese in the Eastern Region.
The New Academy set-up by US-based Ghanaian Coach Eric Kwame Appiah is expected to nature talents in the country.
Having held a successful justifier few Months ago where he secured scholarships for young footballers from Ghana to the various colleges and Universities in the USA, Appiah who is the head Coach for the Women’s Soccer team at Bryan College in the USA returned to establish an Academy which will nature more talents and also aimed at providing quality education, Health and nutrition, accommodation as well as development of their soccer skills.
The official launch which was held over the weekend saw the Chief of Asamankese Osaberima Adu Darko II gracing the occasion.
Meanwhile the Academy is opened to accept kids between the ages of 13-15 who are willing to move a step further in their career.
A tryout session will be held on June 1 to recruit more players into the academy.
