Kotoko won the Otumfuo anniversary Cup after beating ASEC Mimosa 1-0 at the Babayara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Stephen Nyarko’s lone goal handed the Porcupine Warriors a slender victory over the Ivorian giants.
Nyarko scored on the half hour mark after a superb build-up between Kwame Bonsu, trialist Mamardy Barry and Kwame Boahene.
The Porcupine Warriors could have found the back of the net on several occasions in the second half but for the excellent reflexes from ASEC Mimosa goalkeeper Sylla Mamadou who emerged as the stumbling block between Kotoko and the post.
Kotoko used the game to mark the 20th anniversary of their life Patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
