Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan says Kevin-Prince Boateng is willing to make a return to the Black Stars.
Duncan, teammate of Boateng who is currently on loan at Barcelona reveals the former AC Milan and Schalke O4 ace is eager to return to the Ghana team despite being slapped with an indefinite suspension.
Boateng together with close pal Sulley Muntari have all been suspended from the National team after a confrontation with Coach Kwesi Appiah during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The two players since they last made an appearance in a Group game against Germany in 2014 have been overlooked.
The 32-year-old is said to have expressed his desire to rejoin the team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.
“I didn’t know Kevin before but when he came [to Sassuolo], we had a long chat.
“And he mentioned about his will of coming back to the national. He was very determined…,” he told Citi FM.
“Since he came, that has been one of his real objectives – to be able to return to the national team,” Duncan added. “
Sulley Muntari is also said to have revealed his intention to return to the team.
Coach Kwesi Appiah will have a huge decision to select the pair for the Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
