President Nana Addo today held a meeting with Black Stars Coach Kwesi Appiah.
Appiah was invited by the President to discuss the latest gridlock in the Black Stars team which has ultimately raised lots of questions in the Ghanaian public.
Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan on Monday announced his retirement from the National team after Kwesi Appiah took a decision to replace him as the substantive skipper of the team.
This has since been a subject for many football lovers who have since questioned Appiah’s decision.
A meeting with the President took place at the Jubilee House on Monday. Contrary to reports indicating the President held the meeting to request Kwesi Appiah to reinstate Gyan as the substantive captain, Ghanasportsonline.com checks reveal the meeting was to discuss the way forward for the Black Stars team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations to be played in Egypt.
Meanwhile Kwesi Appiah is yet to name his provisional squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
