German giants Schalke 04 will activate the buy-back clause of Ghana U23 attacker Bernard Tekpetey in the summer of 2020, according to German outlet Kicker.
Tekpetey’s value could then be increased to 2.5 million Euros, according to the reports.
Earlier reports suggested Schalke were going to activate the buy-back option in his sale to Paderborn in the current summer transfer window.
But, Kicker have claimed Schalke would want to gauge how the attacker will fare in the Bundesliga with his newly promoted side Paderborn before deciding on the next line of action.
Tekpetey, 21, bagged 10 league goals in 32 appearances to help Paderborn to gain promotion to the German top-flight league.
