Ghana’s Black Queens won bronze at the WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations after beating Mali 8-7 on penalties.
The Black Queens after losing on penalties to Nigeria in the semi-finals redeemed themselves by beating Mali to finish third.
After a scoreless stalemate in regulation time, the game had to travel to penalty shootouts with goalkeeper Fafali Dumahisi making one crucial save to aid her side to clinch bronze.
Ghana could not defend the title won two years ago.
Nigeria and host Cote d’ Ivoire will scuffle out in the finals tonight.
