The Black Stars lost 1-0 to Namibia in a Pre-AFCON friendly in Dubai.
The game served as a test for the two teams who are all preparing for the competition in Egypt.
Coach Kwesi Appiah also used the match to assess his 29-man squad as he prepares to name his final team for the Cup of Nations.
In a game which had debutants Abdul Fatawu Safiu, Mohammed Alhassan and Samuel Owusu all having a feel, Ghana could not take advantage of the opportunities that came their way as the Namibians secured victory courtesy a 33rd minute strike from Manfred Starke.
Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi who started the game in post for the Black Stars could not deal with a first time shot from Starke. Mubarak Wakaso however missed missed penalty kicks in the game.
Kwesi Appiah who now have a fair idea of his team is expected to name his final 23 this week.
The team could engage South Africa in another friendly before leaving for Egypt.
