Ghanaian midfielder Hans Nunoo Sarpei organized a community soccer match in Accra Central as part of his attempt to unite the people in the area.
Sarpei who grew up and played football in the suburb returned on holidays and re-united with his old friends through a football match at the White Park inside Timber Market, a pitch Sarpei once on.
Featured in the game were some of Sapei’s former teammates at Liberty Professionals and Great Olympics such as Gerald Arkson and Francis Attuguaye.
The 20-year-old explained the reason behind the soccer match.
“The motive is to bring the people around together because football brings people together just to have fun and as you saw there were also some wonderful players and lots of potentials.
“So I just didn’t organize this for organizing. It is a look time I have been away so I come back and try to meet up with my old friends and you could see it was competitive as well.
“It is something I do every time I come down, this time you could see I brought some jerseys for them. Is not only to promote my name but to promote football.”
The Ghana U23 prospect recently penned a permanent deal with German Bundesliga II side Greuther Fürth from VfB Stuttgart.
