Karela United star-man Charles Diawisie Taylor has credited the club’s fans and management for the Passioners incredible run in the NC Special Competition.
Diawisie powered Johnson Smith’s boys into the final as he scored an unbelievable 94th minute striker against AshantiGold at the Len Clay Stadium to hand a 1-0 at the semi-finals stage before he fired blank against Kotoko in the final in which the Porcupine Warriors won 4-1 on penalties.
The Dormaa Ahenkro-born finished joint top scorer with 10 goals and holds the enviable record of notching 7 away goals, more than any player in the competition.
And, he has credited the Aiyinase fans and the club’s management for Passioners impressive run in the competition.
“The fans, the management and the entire team have worked incredibly for this feat and we must pay ourselves in the back because we did a great job,” Taylor told Sunyani-based Sun City Radio.
Taylor, 19, has been linked with several clubs as both Hearts and Kotoko along with AshantiGold are racing after his signature.
He confirms to Sun City Sports host Regan Kofi Asomah that German clubs as well as a couple from Denmark have earmarked him.
“All the reports are correct. I’ve received a lot of offers. Hearts, Kotoko and AshantiGold have all contacted my club and I’m aware of them. I’ve also been informed by my club that offers have come from Germany and Denmark so I we would make the appropriate choice,” he added.
Diawisie joined Karela from Bibiani Gold Stars where he impressed under Johnson Smith.
