Michael Essien is elated to have shared his knowledge at the maiden edition of the FIFA Women’s Convention in Paris.
The ex-Ghana international was selected to be part of the speakers at the event held towards the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
Essien shared his experiences in football to help develop the women’s game.
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid star has been actively involved in the Women’s game since he was appointed a FIFA Ambassador for Women’s Football.
The 35-year-old is thrilled to have taken part in the event.
“I enjoyed the #FIFAWFC2019 convention today, sharing my experiences and knowledge to help develop and grow women’s football around the world. Thank you for the opportunity @FIFAWWC,” he tweeted.
Having witnessed the FIFA U17 and U20 Women’s World Cup last year, Essien will be watching the Women’s World Cup which kicks off today.
