Richard Ofori’s save against Tunisia has been selected as one of the best saves at the round of 16 in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Ofori parried away Wahbi Khazri’s strike in extra time to keep the game level. The audacious attempt by the Tunisia captain could have shot the Cattage Eagles in front in the first half of extra time.
The Maritzburg United gloves-man was in top form as he made some crucial saves to prevent the Tunisians from getting any more goals in regulation time.
He joined Egypt’s Mohamed El Shenewey, Amigo Gomis of Senegal, Ivorian goalkeeper Sylvian Gbohouo as well as Madagascar goalkeeper Melvian Andrien who were all selected among the top five saves.
Ghana missed out on a place in the quarterfinals after losing 5-4 on penalties to Tunisia after both teams played out a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
