Albert Adomah could be joining Championship side Nottingham Forest on a free transfer after leaving Aston Villa.
Aston Villa released the winger after the team gain promotion to the Premiership.
Adomah was among five players who could not secure themselves contract renewals with the Club at the end of the season.
With the transfer window still in section, Nottingham Forest have been the front-runners to acquire the 31-year-old Ghana attacker who managed to scored four times in 42 appearances for Villa last season.
The Ghana international has been a long-term target for Forest who are now set to sign him ahead of the new season.
Fellow Championship side West Bromwich Albion are also reportedly interested in signing the player however Nottingham Forest look the most likely to tie him down.
Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi has already signed Sammy Ameobi, Tiago Silva, Alfa Semedo, Yuri Ribeiro and Arijanet Muric but is looking forward to make the former Middlesbrough star his sixth signing ahead of the 2019/20 season.
