Deborah Acquah tallied Ghana’s medal to 12 after winning silver in the Women’s Long Jump.
The National record holder made amends after dropping her baton in the Women’s 4x100metres finals.
She made a jump of 6.37m to place second behind Nigeria’s Ese Brume who grabbed Gold with 6.69m. South Africa’s Lynique Beneke won bronze after placing third.
Acquah, prior to the competition had a season best of 6.63, but bettered that feat with an improved performance.
The Prestea-born was part of Ghana’s 4×100 relay team that painfully missed out on a medal due to a baton drop.
