Though he is yet to make his debut for Kaizer Chiefs, Ghanaian midfielder James Kotei is ready to prove his worth at the Club.
Kaizer Chiefs acquired the 26-year-old midfielder from Tanzanian Club Simba FC in a bid to add more strength to their team.
But Kotei is yet to make an appearance since joining the Club as he tries to get along with the team.
Coach Ernst Middendorp believes the former Liberty Professionals midfielder will need to get use to his system before earning playing opportunities.
The midfielder is however waiting for that big opportunity to finally cement his place in the Amakhosi.
“I know the PSL is a very big league and platform, and in the whole of Africa, I think the PSL is one of a kind and the clubs play well,” said Kotei.
“The pace of the game is also very high, which is very encouraging for me.”
“As a player you have to be confident and believe in yourself and trust yourself – do what you’re supposed to on the field,” he added.
“For me, the fans here, since the first time I got here I’ve seen there is love. But they will love you more when you prove that you work hard on the field, instead of talking.”
Simba FC lost one of their priceless assets after winning the Tanzanian Premier League last season.
