Ghana FA Normalisation Committee Spokesperson Dan Kwaku Yeboah has prepared and handed over a document detailing a Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Policy to the Ghanaian Football regulatory body.
The multiple award-winning journalist handed over the document along with a Communications Policy and an autonomous web portal with the domain name www.ghanapremierleague.org which will help in promoting and managing local football content in the country.
The now-defunct Ghana FA administration led by Kwesi Nyantakyi undertook various initiatives in areas of health and social action as forms of giving back to the Ghanaian society.
However the document prepare by Kwaku Yeboah gives more definition and direction to the Ghana FA in terms of giving back to the Ghanaian society.
Portions of the document sighted by Ghana Sports requires all clubs affiliated to the GFA to submit a documented CSR plan to the Association and submit annual reports of CSR activities to the association.
“While we are still in the Normalisation process there’s the need to introduce reforms in key aspects and a CSR plan has not been left out,” he told Ghanasportsonline.com.
“The FA must give back to society and as such clubs affiliated to the Association are also required to be run in that direction to help societies in the country to help identify themselves with communities and societies easily and draw more fan base and support,” he added.
The Ghanaian football public has taken to social media to lavish praise on the Despite Group Head of Sports for the initiatives.
