Ghana international Ishmael Yartey was supreme and magisterial as he bravely struck home the match-winner for KPV Kokkola over giants HJK Helsinki in the Finnish top-flight league on Sunday.
Yartey, spotting the No.77 jersey, scored on the 77th minute of the match at the Kokkolan Stadium to help KPV register their second win in four games.
Sunday’s goal means Yartey has now scored THREE goals in his last four games for KPV in the league.
The former Benfica and Ghana U17 player displayed electrifying pace to strike the ball home after Russian goalkeeper Maksim Rudakov took his sights off the ball inside his goal area.
KPV needed to return to winning ways and Yartey’s goal has helped them to the crucial win they needed.
The 29-year-old has been on a fine form since his switch from the Swiss league to the Finnish top-flight league.
His Ghanaian compatriot Isaac Telly Shaze also played for the winners as well as Evans Mensah for the losers.
