Black Meteors midfielder Majeed Ashimeru will be looking forward to a better performance against Algeria in the second leg of the Africa U23 Cup of Nations.
Ghana were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Algeria last Friday putting their chances of qualifying in a balance.
The Black Meteors will now have to beat Algeria or secure a better stalemate in the return encounter to progress.
Ashimeru believes they could have done better in the first leg.
“I was really disappointed in myself especially because everyone knows what we are doing in Europe so we needed to show it here,” the Red Bull Salzburg man told FootballMadeInGhana.com
“We didn’t have a very good game and I’m really disappointed in myself and teammates.”
Algeria host Ghana on Tuesday at the Stade 8 Mai 1945 in Sétif.
