Crystal Palace attacker Jordan Ayew is happy to have kick off his season on a good note.
With three appearances in the English Premier League so far, the 27-year-old has emerged the star man for Palace netting twice for the Club.
Ayew helped Palace to make history by scoring in their 2-1 win over Manchester United to record their first victory over the English giants at Old Trafford in 35 years. He further found the back of the net with a match-winner against his former Club Aston Villa.
The striker is happy to be enjoying a good start to the campaign after a difficult time last season where he managed just one goal in all competitions.
“My target was to start well. Thank god everything went well. I need to continue, do better and work harder,” he is quoted by cpfc.co.uk.
“We are happy [as a squad], but we all know that it’s still the beginning and we have a lot of games to go, so we know that there are important games coming up, and we need to keep our focus and keep working hard.”
Roy Hodgson is likely to unleash the Club’s player of the Month in Saturday’s game against Tottenham Hotspurs at Selhurst Park.
