Portugal’s Segunda Liga side CD Mafra have agreed to take Paços de Ferreira striker Paul Ayongo on loan until the end of the season.
”CD Mafra informs the general public that it has agreed with Paços de Ferreira to take 22-year-old Ghanaian striker Paul Ayongo for a season,” a club statement read.
The talented forward played a vital role for Paços de Ferreira in their successful return to the Portuguese Primera Liga, banging 4 goals from 10 appearances.
In search of more playing time, the striker embraced the opportunity to move a the Segunda Liga club to continue his development.
At Mafra, Ayongo will meet Diego Medeiros, a former player at Paços de Ferreira, a club where former Mafra coach Vasco Seabra has also gone.
