Rovaniemi Palloseura manager Pasi Tuutti has described Ghanaian attacker Ishmael Yartey as the most dangerous offensive player in the Finnish Veikkausliiga.
The Finnish gaffer has been heaping praise on the former Sochaux Montbellard player after he put his RoPS side to the sword in the league on Saturday.
Before the two sides faced off at the Kokkolan Stadium in the highly tensed game Tuutti mapped a defensive strategy to attempt to shackle the ex-Benfica starlet from his meandering moves and rocket-paced shots from range.
But, he was largely unsuccessful at it as the Ghana hit the back of the net with a mind-blowing finish in the 84th minute.
And, Tuutti took his time to enumerate the qualities of Yartey.
“Yartey’s offensive solutions are very good for this league. As a single player, he has become a big player in KPV,” he told Veikkausliiga.com.
The Finnish trainer emphasised Yartey’s ability to turn the game round.
“Yartey is by far the most dangerous of KPV’s new acquisitions. He’s the soul of KPV’s game,” he concluded.
Yartey was named the MVP of the game meaning Saturday’s award is the fourth he has picked since he joined KPV Kokkola.
KPV acquired the attacker after he left Swiss side Stade Nyonnais and he has batged 5 goals in 8 games since his arrival making him one of the top players in the league.
