ATHLETICS: Ghana’s Relay team yet to receive per diems weeks after IAAF Championship

Ghana’s relay team are yet to receive their per diems, weeks after the IAAF Championship in Doha.

Team Ghana’s relay team wrote to the Ministry through the Ghana Athletics Association requesting for Government support prior to the 2019 IAAF.

In responds to their plea, the Ministry stated their inability to help the situation due to heavy financial burden, despite the team finding a way to make it to the competition.

However Ghanasportsonline.com understands participants are yet to receive their monies owed them.

Both the Men and Women’s relay teams made their season’s best at the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championship.
